The clients wanted a complete landscape renovation of their newly-acquired 30-year-old home. After removing most of the plant material, focus was placed on creating space and openness.
An unsightly block wall surrounding the patio was removed and by maximizing setbacks and redesigning the fencing as open “sticks-in-the-desert” rebar fencing, an expansive feel was created in the previously confined pool and patio areas.
Central to the new design’s unifying concept were nine custom-crafted steel trellises featuring vibrant, fragrant vines, bringing a sculptural yet functional element to the landscape. The result was a harmonious, well-curated space perfect for entertaining a cozy group of four or a greater gathering of forty!
