After extensive renovations of an older Paradise Valley home, the new owners wanted a complete redo of the existing landscaping with a focus on creating more privacy from the roads below while still being able to enjoy open, unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains. To achieve this, the new pool and patios were elevated and surrounded by large specimen plantings.
A lush hedge of evergreen Sour Orange around the pool provides year-round privacy with delightfully fragrant flowers in April. A gathering spot near the pool is complete with a large fire pit for chilly Arizona evenings. Thoughtfully planned, the main house, adjacent mother-in-law suite, and outdoor areas were all designed with no steps to accommodate guests of all ages.
